Richard Gatehouse
Richard was born in Santa Monica, California, in 1951. He grew up in Toronto, Canada. He has also lived in Vancouver, Cape Canaveral, Miami, and most recently, the Tampa area. As a dual national he has enjoyed living in both Canada and the USA.
Richard worked with a number of Toronto rock bands, after high school, and traveled extensively.
In 1972 he began his career in hospitality, working in some of the top night clubs in Toronto. In 1978 he moved to Vancouver and continued working clubs and restaurants. He eventually started a music booking agency and booked a number of the major clubs in the Vancouver area and throughout B.C. At this time he also did some radio work, creating live, on air characters and comedy bits.
In 1985, he returned to Toronto and throughout the next few years; he worked in the hospitality industry, promoted a single for singer/songwriter Joel Wade ( guiding it to heavy rotation on top radio stations in a number of major Canadian markets), he appeared in the TV series "Degrassi High", and he bought his first computer.

In 1990, he returned to the USA, first to California, where he did voice over work on commercials, then to Tampa, where he still resides. In 1993, he joined the maritime community and worked for a number of years as a Dredgeman, earning a Master Captain's license from the US Coast Guard.
Richard has recently turned his interest in computers into a full time career. He builds and repairs computers, tutors in Windows® and develops Websites.
Richard has a number of projects currently in the works. The sequel to Millennium Drive is well under way. He is also writing a book about a pair of aging, bungling, mafia hit men called on to do one last job.
